The key to our success has always been our strong grower relationships. Our growers aren’t just partners; we consider them an extended part of our family network. We pride ourselves on having a family-style relationship with our growers and working together as one unit. Because we work so closely with generational farmers who take immense pride in their craft, we bear the responsibility of upholding the reputation of each grower’s brand, treating their produce with the utmost respect and care. We’ve forged wonderful long-standing partnerships with them, by consistently prioritising our grower’s best interests, and these strong relationships enable us to deliver the finest produce on the market. Our grower base of 20 key growers supplies Barkers with our central product lines, while our entire network consists of over 600 trusted growers to ensure consistent year-round quality.
Our point of difference is that we have the best quality produce from growers who genuinely love what they grow. Opening a box of the finest, freshest produce when the demand is high puts a smile on my face. It’s then up to me to secure the best price, and that’s a source of great pride for me. Many of our loyal suppliers and buyers have been with us for generations.
